Cats are obligate carnivores (carnivores that must consume mainly muscle meat) and require a high concentration of protein in their diet. For this reason we have developed a cat food range to meet these dietary requirements. Our cat food is made from real meats which do include ground bones and offal (often called by-products). Each Nature’s Gift tin of cat food contains a balanced selection of various meats ensuring a healthy mix of protein for a cat’s nutritional requirements and overall wellbeing.
Our canned food also contains meat based juice gravy which cats adore. This is on the ingredients list as a gelling agent and colour. The colour in the gravy is caramel and one of the most natural, digestive colours suitable for pet food. Caramel isn’t described as a natural colour even though it is just a simple process of oxidised sugar (sugar syrup) because it is man produced. It is used to a minimum and is not detrimental to a cat’s diet.
