Diet
Puppies grow quickly into dogs and therefore require a well balanced diet to help with proper growth and bone and teeth development. Make sure your dog has fresh clean drinking water everyday, dogs need water to survive.
Desexing
Spaying and neutering offers a temperament benefit to owing a dog. Males tend to be less territorial and less aggressive, they will less likely to abscond to find a female who is in season. Females will be more focused on you and make better companions when desexed.
Unless you plan to breed your dog, it is advisable to de-sex your dog. Please consult your vet for the best advice on when to de-sex your pet.
Vaccinations
There are some canine diseases that can be fatal, we recommend consulting your veterinarian to discuss the course of vaccinations for your puppy/dog.
Flea Treatment / Wormings
We recommend following a routine flea and worming treatment for your puppy/dog, there are many different applications and brands on the market, please consult your veterinarian to discuss the best treatment for your pet.
Identification / Microchipping
Your dog should be registered with your local council and wear a sturdy collar with an identification tag and telephone number attached. To ensure your pet is permanently identified a microchip cannot be lost. Microchipping is very safe and your dog will feel little or not pain, once inserted your pets details are put on a national database and if found your pet will be returned to you immediately.
