Understanding your Dog
Your canine best friend cannot speak to you (even though they might think they can). Dog’s show their emotions in a number of ways. There are a few telltale signs to work out if your dog is happy and content or nervous and stressed.
Generally a dog will have ears up when alert and tail wagging when happy. A dog that is stressed may drop its tail between its legs, roll over and expose its stomach or lean away from the offending person/object/animal.
Training
Training is a critical element of socialising dogs. The key is simplicity and consistency. There are many schools in most areas that can assist with puppy classes and adult classes in obedience training. Please see below for a list of obedience schools.
