Cats - General Health

Desexing

Not only does spaying or neutering your cat help reduce the cat population, there are health benefits. Desexed cats are less likely to fight and roam. Overall a desexed cat is a healthier and happier pet. Consult your veterinarian for advice.

Vaccinations

There are some feline diseases that can be fatal, we recommend consulting your veterinarian to discuss the course of vaccinations for your cat/kitten.

Flea Treatment / Worming

We recommend following a routine flea and worming treatment for your cat/kitten, there are many different applications and brands on the market, please consult your veterinarian to discuss the best treatment for your pet.

Identification / Microchipping

Your cat should be registered with your local council and wear a sturdy collar with an identification tag and telephone number attached. To ensure your pet is permanently identified a microchip cannot be lost. Microchipping is very safe and your cat will feel little or not pain, once inserted your pets details are put on a national database and if found your pet will be returned to you immediately. Contact your local vet for more information.
